Victorinox, manufacturer of the world-famous pocket knife, produces watches at its own Watch Competence Center in the Swiss Jura, which captivate due to their design, functionality, and quality. The new models for 2019 were presented to the public today in Basel on the opening day of Baselworld, the leading watch fair.
Victorinox is a traditional Swiss brand and is world-famous for its red pocket knife. Watches have also been part of the Victorinox product portfolio for decades. These are made in the company’s own Watch Competence Center in Delémont, in the Swiss Jura, and thus rightly bear the coveted “Swiss Made” seal. Carl Elsener, CEO of Victorinox AG, comments: “Our watches are a successful attempt to make the world-famous pocket knife visible outside the pants pocket, and a clear statement of its place of origin in Switzerland. A short while ago we invested a sum in the tens of millions in our Watch Competence Center in Jura.”
Victorinox has exhibited at Baselworld, the leading Swiss watch and jewelry fair, in Basel for around 20 years and this year is once again presenting its watch innovations for 2019. Arianna Pozza, Head of Product Category Watches, states: “Of course, it’s a feat of strength for us. The preparation phase for Baselworld is very intense, but over 4,000 journalists come from every part of the world and we also establish important contact with our customers. So the added value is right for us.”
