Victorinox Swiss Army is now entering a higher level of watchmaking by creating a very special model dedicated to the brand’s Swiss heritage and commitment to delivering practical luxury: the “Victorinox Swiss Army Legacy - Réserve de Marche Platine.”



THE INSPIRATION

In a very limited edition of 60 numbered platinum cases, a new mechanical self-winding movement equipped with a power reserve indicator has been exclusively decorated with “Perlage” and “Côtes de Genève” finishes. Inspired by its heritage of functionality, Victorinox Swiss Army has combined a high-density precious metal with genuine rubber.



THE POWERFUL MECHANISM

With a 46 Réserve de Marche, a small hand on the sapphire inner dial confirms that the barrel has enough mechanical energy to indicate the accurate time. This smart complication is a remarkable mechanism visible below the dial and is part of the new and rugged Valgranges movement. In a size of 16 ½”’, the “heart” of this timepiece was chosen for its exceptional rewinding efficiency.



THE DISTINCT ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN

Great attention has been given to the legibility of the hands and large applied numbers equipped with luminous material. To offer the best visibility of the different mechanisms, the architecture of the LEGACY RESERVE DE MARCHE PLATINE is open on both sides of the platinum case, thanks to its anti-reflective sapphire crystal dial and case back. Traditional "Côtes de Genève” as well as fine "Perlage" decoration on both sides of the movement may be enjoyed when contemplating the impressive and untiring 24/24 and 7/7 balance spring oscillating 28,800 times an hour. On the very functional side, large applied markers, full of auto luminescent material, provide distinctive legibility.



THE UNIQUE COMBINATION OF MATERIALS

The luxury of ultra-rare platinum: Chosen for being the most precious metal, platinum is 30 times more rare than gold and is two times heavier for the same volume. Adding to its beauty, over time platinum develops patina and its purity makes it hypo-allergenic.



The practicality of rubber: To meet the demands of today's active lifestyle, to protect its preciousness and to make it a real Victorinox Swiss Army timepiece, the most exposed parts of the case – the bezel, the horns and the crown – are covered with genuine rubber.



THE EXQUISITE PACKAGING

For everyday wear, this first Active Luxury timepiece from Victorinox Swiss Army is presented in a special custom collector’s case that includes a viewing magnifier loupe, special information package, numbered Certificate of Authenticity and a choice of genuine rubber and hand-sewn sophisticated leather straps, both Swiss Made.
