REACHING FOR THE STARS: DANIEL HUMM |
|
Of the thousands of restaurants in New York City, perhaps a few hundred can be described as “fine dining” establishments – many of which have yet to earn their first star from the New York Times. To get one is an achievement. Two stars transform a mere restaurant into a “destination”. Three can make a chef’s career.
The exalted status of a four-star rating is enjoyed by the Executive Chefs of only six restaurants. The youngest member of this elite group – by far – is Daniel Humm, the 32-year-old Swiss-born, French-grounded, culinary genius at Eleven Madison Park.
The cutlery in Eleven Madison’s kitchen – the cutlery Daniel has used since the day he began his career as a 14-year-old apprentice – is the very same cutlery you can use in your home. View Cutlery by Victorinox. |
