No, you can purchase all of these items right here. To replace the scales on your knife, please send your knife to our Repair Center. To learn how to replace scissor springs, please contact our consumer service department at 1.800.442.2706. -SA

Is there a charge for repairs? Will you bill me? |

Your Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knife has a lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover abuse, misuse, or normal wear and tear. If your knife is defective, Victorinox Swiss Army will repair or replace it, at our option, and send it back to you at no charge. -SA

What is your warranty? |

Victorinox Swiss Army, Inc. warrants its Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knives to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the entire life of the knife. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state. If your knife has a manufacturer's defect covered by our warranty, we will either repair or replace this knife at our option, without charge when it is returned to an authorized Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knife dealer or is sent to our Consumer Repair Service noted above. Please include your name, address, and phone number with your return. -SA

We cannot make special knives for our customers. It would be cost prohibitive and time consuming. However, our line is extensive and can accomodate most requests. You can tell you have a Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knife by looking at the base on the shank of the largest blade. It will say Victorinox. Also, the knife handle will have a cross surrounded by a five point shield. -SA

You should regularly clean and oil your knife to ensure that it functions properly. You can also easily sharpen the knife yourself with a sharpening stone. -SA

What is the make up of the steel? |

All Victorinox knives are high carbon, stainless, first grade, A-quality stainless steel, x 50 CrMo. They are tempered to a 55-56 HRC hardness for optimum edge retention. -SA

Where is the toothpick and Straight pin located in your Swiss Army knives? |

The toothpick is located on one end of the scales on the outside right beside the corkscrew. The straight pin can be found by pulling open the corkscrew and then look straight down where the corkscrew is attached at the base and you will see the head of the pin showing on the edge of the red scales inside. -Swiss Army
